With the release of the new Kindle line a few weeks ago, we all knew I was going to end up with a new model sooner than later. They were also announced shortly before my birthday, which is generally when I’m in a buying things ban imposed by the hubs, so that I don’t accidentally buy myself something that he was going to get me for my birthday. Here’s how that conversation went (in my own words):
ME: OMG SQUEE they announced a new line of Kindles, I want one, am I preordering it or are you
HUBS: I’m so confused.
ME: Well, I’m getting a new Kindle, but I didn’t want to get yelled at for buying it, so I’m giving you the option.
HUBS: But I was going to get you something else for your birthday.
ME: That’s fine too, I can buy it. Just don’t yell.
HUBS: Nevermind, I’ll buy it.
ME: YAY!!! *clicks purchase on Amazon and wanders off to brag how well trained hubs is to anyone who will listen*
So my new precious arrived last week, and holy crap I love it!!! Just look at the pretty!
It’s hard to see the glowy in this picture, but it’s there, and I can read anywhere! *LOVE*
I also got all randomly excited and adventurous and got me some new ink last Friday. My first tattoo was my 21st birthday gift to myself, and I’ve been plotting my next one pretty much ever since. Well, this isn’t what I had planned for my next one, but I love it anyway!
By the by, it’s REALLY hard to take a picture of your dominant wrist.
