There. I said it. I would be the geekiest fan girl on the planet given the opportunity to meet him. He's simply that awesome. But since I haven't yet had that opportunity, I have to content myself with psychotically stalking his blog (where "psychotically stalking" roughly translates into actually read his blog posts in my Google Reader).
Having been a fan since I got tired of looking at his first novel thinking "oh that sounds good, but what's with the scary red head on the cover" and finally just picked it up, and subsequently fell into a deep trancelike state in which nothing in my world mattered more than that book... Well I've been a fan for a long time.
And in that time, I have seen the phenomenal geeky response to his annual fundraiser to benefit Worldbuilders. Seriously, it's awesome. You can donate goats. And chickens. And get entered to win cool prizes. And make the world a better place. And did I mention the prizes?
